Ghada M. Ijam Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Information Technology Management
Ghada Ijam successfully managed the re-launch of Amtrak's e-Commerce sales and marketing channels

Ijam, Information Technology Program Management Director for Amtrak's National Railroad Passenger Corporation, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. With more than two decades of professional experience, Ms. Ijam has honed her expertise in information technology leadership, global team management, strategic planning, and organizational change management. She excels in building strategic alliances with customers, focusing on mission goals, aligning people and managing technology portfolios. Ms. Ijam brings her experience and skills to the role of IT program management director for Amtrak's National Railroad Passenger Corporation. Her position entails collaborating with businesses, improving IT and business relationships, and overseeing the SAP center of excellence. She also manages enterprise applications for procurement, Materials Management, Finance, Humam Resources and e-Commerce. Ms. Ijam managed the re-launch of Amtrak's e-Commerce sales and marketing channels - website and mobile applications - and considers the experience to be a highlight of her career.

Prior to working in this capacity, Ms. Ijam worked as a senior programmer and analyst for two years with Fannie Mae and quality assurance lead at U.S. Bancorp for one year. She was with Intel Corporation for 12 years serving a variety of roles: SAP program manager, finance information systems department manager, enterprise manager of the SAP program management office, director of strategy and operations, and professional services director. She spent three years with Freddie Mac as business initiatives and program director. Ms. Ijam is fluent in Arabic. She attributes her success to her leadership style, education and diverse cultural background.

In 1991, Ms. Ijam earned an MBA in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Kuwait University. Ms. Ijam is a certified facilitator of strategy and process and a member of the Project Management Institute and Society for Information Management. Looking toward the future, Ms. Ijam hopes to become a chief information officer and expand her network and activities. She also plans to pursue public speaking opportunities.
