KALAHEO, HI, February 9, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marilyn J. Allen, MSM, President of Performance Coaching, was recently named a VIP Member by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Allen brings 25 years of experience to her position as president of Performance Coaching. She utilizes her expertise in communication and leadership to coach chief executive officers and general managers, lead courses on communications and sales, work with hotels' middle to upper management, conduct linguistic space work and critical inquiries, and analyze systems.

Ms. Allen has consulted and led courses for corporations such as Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, Boeing, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, SPAWAR, and Hawaii Pacific Health. She has also taught at the Honolulu University of Phoenix and Seattle Antioch University and coached entrepreneurs, top executives in government, education, and nonprofits. She became involved in her profession because the work is life changing and makes a difference. Education is a cornerstone of the work that she does and she values the opportunity to make a contribution back into society.

A graduate of Seattle Antioch University, Ms. Allen earned a Master of Science in management. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. She attributes her success to her "True North", which is a commitment to supporting others to reach their potential. A member of several professional organizations, including the Organizational Development Network, Kauai Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Kauai Community College Friends. In the near future, Ms. Allen would like to develop a business coaching program throughout the state of Hawaii.
